The lungs begin to heal within a few days of quitting. Smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer, but not the only cause. It can be hereditary, chemical pollutants and several other environmental factors. Give him a pat on the back to stop smoking it can only lower his risk.

I read that people can Familial pancreatic cancer. Does this mean that my father could it get? He has type 2 diabetes, but it goes to his doctor regularly and it seems he has under control. on cases like this usually skips generations if your uncle has it, then your father should be ok, but it means that you or another sibilings your children or your uncles! Not 100% sure about this but I have heard before!
