What were your first symptoms of Colon / rectal cancer?

Question Dayman – Fighter of the NightMan : What were your first symptoms of Colon / rectal cancer
The plan is for those who are currently diagnosed with or those who survived colon / rectal cancer. I know that many times there are no early symptoms of this cancer. So I want to know when did you suspect something was wrong? I am already aware of the symptoms of colorectal cancer, I’m just curious to know what symptoms people diagnosed avaient.Meilleure response:

I am not a cancer patient, but I work for a gastroenterologist who has been diagnosed with colon cancer last summer (ironically huh?) Anyway, it n ‘t have any symptoms, he just decided to have a colonscopy. So if you do have symptoms, the first may be blood in the stool. If you have a family history of cancer, you might want to get a colonscopy.

Sometimes abnormal breasts are cancerous, sometimes they are just wrong. All terms of abnormal Pap additional testing. Most of the time if they feel it could be cervical cancer they will do a colposcopy and biopsy to see if the cells are cancerous. Cervical cancer is cancer that progresses slowly and usually have no symptoms. However, if the cancer has progressed to a stage it may be too dangerous / consistent vaginal bleeding (if you’re not on your time, or during / after sex). Abnormal vaginal discharge is also associated with cervical cancer. You must ensure you get your annual Pap smear every year around the same time to ensure you do not have any problems that might go unnoticed.

How were you diagnosed with recurrence of breast cancer? Symptoms?

Question by Gramma Might Know: How were you diagnosed with recurrence of breast cancer? Symptoms?

My cancer is not breast, so I cant give you the symptoms to look for, but I did have a recurrance. I was diagnosed during a routine check up.

Basically, you cant worry about how they will take it. You need to just straight up say, the cancer came back, it has spread, and this is what I am considering for treatment.

I know it is easier said than done, but thats what you have to do. You cant sit around worrying about how others will take the news, or worry about how to tell them tactfully or worry about them being upset. You have to just say it flat out.

If you dont feel you can handle a mushy gooy crying session with the family, tell them over the phone or email and make it quick. I know it sucks for the family, as it is what I did. However, it was much better for me that way.

My aunt happened out of chance to be with me. I was going to wait to tell my sig other until he got home from out of town, but couldnt. I called him immediatly, and did have a good crying session. And then I called my mom, had a 5 minute conversation, and let her handle telling everyone else.

Maybe thats heartless of me, but like I keep saying through this post, you cant worry about everyone else’s feelings right now, only yours.
